How to set up #bitcoin-otc

Soooooo you want to trade with the big boys?  To play, create a keypair:

1.  INSTALL files.gpg4win.org/gpg4win-2.1.0.exe

2.  OPEN Kleopatra

3.  CLICK Settings

4.  CLICK Configure Kleopatra

5.  CLICK GnuPG System

6.  CLICK Edit for Configuration of Keyservers in the GPG for OpenPGP tab

8.  DELETE current keyserver

9.  CLICK New

10.  TYPE pgp.mit.edu

11.  CLICK OK

12.  CLICK Apply

13.  SLAP OK

14.  CLICK File

15.  CLICK New Certificate

16.  CLICK Create a personal OpenPGP key pair

17.  TYPE Name and Email

18.  CLICK Create Key

19.  TYPE Passphase  (Passphrases like "OMGiheartHOW2BITCOIN" are more secure than passwords than "bitcoin")

20.  HIT Finish

21.  RIGHT-CLICK key

22.  EXPORT certificate to keyserver

23.  VISIT webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#bitcoin-otc

24.  TYPE Name

25.  ENTER rando letters

26.  CLICK Gribble on right side of window

27.  QUERY

29.  OPEN Kleopatra

30.  RIGHT-CLICK keypair

21.  CLICK Certificate Details

32.  COPY ID in Technical Details tab

29.  TYPE ;;gpg eregister "desired username" "ID" in Gribble conversation

30.  COPY everything in link in Gribble's response

31.  RIGHT-CLICK Kleopatra in system tray

32.  CLICK Clipboard

33.  HIT Decrypt/Verify...

34.  HIT Finish

35.  TYPE ;;gpg everify "control + V" in Gribble conversation

If you're a savant, gribble will tell you the registration is successful.  THANK GOD that you don't have to do those 35 steps again.  Each time you want to OTC, do these steps in the gribble conversation.

36.  TYPE ;;gpg eauth "username" in Gribble conversation

37.  REPEAT steps 30-35
